Question - I want some really nice pictures of my dogs, cats, horses, goats etc.  Can you do animal portraits?

Answer - Yes, I love making animal portraits.

Question - Where should they be done?

Answer - Animal photos are best accomplished in an outdoor or indoor space they are happy in and familiar with.  If you are in the photos with them, that usually makes it easier.  I like to capture the special bond between people and their pets…it’s very beautiful.  If you need show type photos, we will need to discuss the proper posing for the appropriate photos.

Question - How should we prepare our pet for the photo session?

Answer - Good question and this is roughly the same answer I give to people…Make sure your pet is well nourished and rested and excercised before the session. Consider the time of day he/she is in the best mood, has eliminated, and is not distracted by anything or person or another animal etc. If you’d like to do the photos in a beautiful setting, like a big open meadow or with a mountain view or near a lake etc. please be sure to take your pet there a few times before we go there for the pictures so they are familiar with it and relaxed about the place. Animals are very sensitive and endearing beings. I consider it an honor to make portraits of them.
